I started selling seriously on eBay after being laid off from my job as a director at a well-known global company. Although I had been working in the corporate training industry for 12 years, when I tried to get another job I was constantly rebuffed and told I was over qualified.

Finally, I decided to stop trying to return to corporate training, and changed my focus to my part-time eBay business. My goal was to expand this business beyond eBay into two websites, but I faced two challenges: My lack of experience and not being able to find name-brand products I could buy and sell at a profit.
